Lulu Hyper Market ,new malaz branch review

Lulu Hyper Market, New Malaz branch review

Lulu hypermarket Al Malaz branch is creating so much hype...which I am unable to understand well It opened atlast after two years of patience.

Lulu hypermarket has so many branches all over in the kingdom as well as in Riyadh but definitely Malaz branch has something special in it.

According to me it will be the blessing in disguise for us as it is situated near my house. Many people residing in Malaz can access this branch easily.

Yesterday 13th December was its first day of opening so I am going to review it sincerely...Yes,To be very honest I am going to explain my experience of first day at this Lulu hyper market. May be it will be helpful for others too.

I saw various posts of this market ,on very famous Facebook and insta accounts. Due to so much publicity it was very crowded on the first day.

Well,my husband was outside and he noticed by chance that lulu has started working so we make a trip to lulu without any buying intention. In local language we call it "aywain..."

It was night time and the parking was full and very crowded. Security guards were available for managing parking area and collecting the trolleys from the road side. The front area of the market is open and you can easily drag your trolley to 1 or 2 km(even you can put the trolley in your car too as it is open road area and no barrieers or hurdles are available)

Joke apart, I found the beautiful decoration of balloons and multicolored walls. Inside it was just like the ordinary malls or any other lulu hypermarket.. nothing special in it. You can find all the fruits, vegetables, grocery items, clothes, toys and electronic here. The important thing is all the things were fresh and many people bought many things as they filled their trolleys with lots of things. We bought few house hold items too.

Food items like fresh cakes, pastries, pizzas, roll, samosas, broast, nuggets, chat, fried item and barbeque were bought by many customers as it was the first day and everything available was so fresh.( This is the main point why many people visited at the opening day and that's why it was so much crowded)

Now, the real story begins after it when we reached at the counter. We reached at the queue at 11:10 pm and guess when we were able to pay our bill? After 40 minutes yes, waiting after 40 minutes. At 11:50 pm we cleared our dues and took a sigh of relief atlast we are able to breathe fresh air..

People were waiting in long queues, kids were weeping, women looked tired as there was no place for sitting or restingp

If laziness has a name, I think the cashier's of lulu hypermarket can own it ....

It was the first day and it was so much crowded. They have too much workers still they can't manage it at day one how they can able to do it in further days. Now,I will tell you the whole scenario may be you thought I am giving you a bias review. There were long, long queues on each counter.(Its normal we have witnessed many long queues in panda and other markets too so this is not a point)

All the cashier's were suadias (local nationals) and the assistants were asians. They were doing their work but slowly slowly (calmly no need to worry, may be they thought where these people will go? They have to stay here till they have to pay their bills,so do it slowly) I was noticing the cashier's behavior, One was busy in setting his shimag, one was so much tired as he was pressing his back with his hands, one left the counter and all the queue members were in shock where he has gone but he went to washroom (its ok its our basic need but kindly handover your task to someone else don't leave the counter as many people are waiting for their turns)

May be yesterday was the first day so they were not accepting so much crowd so they were unable to manage it. May be due to lack of experience and new staff the handling of too much crowd was a difficult task.

There were only two counters for vegetable and fruit tags and people were waiting in long long queues there too.

Well, I hope may be in few days they are able to manage the customers and may be the cashier's gain some experience. I wrote which I saw and I felt about the new branch..It is newly constructed and location is very attractive but I think service matters alot. If you want to share something else ,kindly coment bellow . Waiting for your views..
